For 2, 3, 4, and 5 timpani. Advanced solos for the contemporary performer. These etudes are an extension of the etudes in the Friese-Lepak Timpani Method. They cover many of the difficult pitch, rhythmic, and technical problems encountered in contemporary music and are written to be analyzed, studied, and performed. The solos may be combined in groups of two, three or four -- to be performed as a Timpani Suite.
